Now I’m going to give you a detail instruction on how to clean wood furniture with vinegar. So you need to follow some steps, those are:

1.           Removing the dust

First of all, you have to remove cushions, pillows, and hardware from the furniture and pull the furniture from away from the wall and other furniture. Clean the furniture properly by using a non-spinning brush attached to your vacuum cleaner. Make sure that you are using a stationary brush attachment because a spinning attachment can make scratches on your furniture. Or you can also prefer dampen a clean cloth and just a bit and wipe the wood down instead if you want. Then you have to clean the cushions and pillows if applicable.

2.           Cleaning the furniture with vinegar

For every cup (240ml) of filtered water, mix three tablespoons of white vinegar. Then use a soft, clean piece of cotton cloth for cleaning. Dip the cloth in the bucket of solution or mixer and make sure to wring out the cloth fully. Because too much fluid can enter into the wood and cause damage. So be careful when you are cleaning and don’t use a spray to the furniture directly. And the most important thing, try the solution in a test area before applying it.

3.           Rub the furniture:

The next step is to rub the furniture with a piece of cloth to soak watermarks. If you notice any spots, use a clean cloth to buff the wood in circular motion.

4.           Polishing furniture with vinegar and oil:

Mix white vinegar with olive oil and add a small squirt of fresh lemon juice or lemon oil. Then mix the solution (1/4 cup or 60ml olive oil, 1/8 cup or 30ml lemon juice or oil, 1/8 cup or 30ml flax oil and distilled vinegar) properly. Before applying this solution in the furniture you should try the solution in a small area for testing. Dip the cloth into the solution and rub it on the test area and finally buff it dry with another clean cloth. If you notice any reaction then don’t use the solution to your furniture. And if not, then continue the polishing furniture with the solution like the same way.

Polish the wood furniture one or two times per year because it enlarges the beauty and shine of the furniture as well as your home. And also help prevent it from looking dry and worn.

In Summary:
In this way, you can easily prolong the life of your furniture and keep your furniture fresh and beautiful. And keep your family safe from the risk of allergens affecting by having them cleaned on a regular basis.
