First of all, put on heavy boots, work gloves, and safety
glasses. If you want to cut the fallen branch keep it by resting fully on the
ground. Then cut smaller side branches off a limb that is not fully on the
ground and start working from the upper end of the main limb then back toward
the end which was attached to the shaft and with those that are against the
ground first. After that stand on the opposite side of the main branch from the
side branches, you are cutting and cut from the underside of the branch. You
have to be careful and avoid them stripes back to hit you.
Eliminate using several tips, which can kick back to you.
Make cuts of 16 inches or more, depends on the length of the wood you need as
well. Then roll the big branch over to the opposite side and over buck down to
meet the cuts made in Step. Basically, over buck means to go down from the top
of the limb to the ground. The easiest technique of cutting them straight
through by hitting the ground with the chainsaw.

- Bring someone as your partner when you work, because at least he’ll help you if you injured.
